I taught physical education at Phoenix Secondary School in Los Angeles from 2001 to 2010. Most days I taught the final-year class, and my door was open at lunch.
I ran the art club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I watch every football match going.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
