I teach art and social studies at Jerusalem Public School, Jerusalem. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

What gifts mean to Mr. Shapiro: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I was in your first-year students class in 2000. You believed I could do it before I did.
