Mr. Shaker

21 years teaching special education in Mecca

  • 🇸🇦 Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
  • Starlight High School
  • Since 1994
  • English, Arabic
For 32 years I have been the special education teacher at Starlight High School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Mr. Shaker

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
