Mr. Sarkis

13 years teaching art in Shubra

  • 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
  • Since 2011
  • English, Arabic
I teach art at Highland Girls' School in Shubra since 2011. Most days I teach Year 10, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. Over the years I've had 540 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Mr. Sarkis

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Sarkis: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
