Mr. Sampaio
Religious studies and art teacher, Recife
- 🇧🇷 Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil
- Jacaranda High School
- Since 2008
- Portuguese
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I answer every email, even at midnight.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Sampaio: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me religious studies in 2023 at Jacaranda High School. I still remember the time the class pet escaped.
