I taught music at Kikuyu Boys' School in Kikuyu from 1983 to 1996. Most days I taught Year 9, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 640 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Salim
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mr. Salim: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
