Mr. Ruiz
Biology and environmental science teacher, Portland
- 🇺🇸 Portland, Oregon, United States
- Portland Boys' School
- Since 1984
- English, Spanish
For 42 years I have been the biology teacher at Portland Boys' School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Mr. Ruiz
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Ruiz: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
