I taught physical education at St. Mary's Boys' School in San Jose from 1994 to 2009. Most days I taught Grade 4, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 320 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Ruiz
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
