Mr. Roy
12 years teaching home economics in Dhaka
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Beacon Girls' School
- 2017 to 2025
- English
For eight years I was the home economics teacher at Beacon Girls' School. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Roy
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Roy: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
