I taught special education at Heritage Grammar School in San Jose from 2007 to 2017. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Rivera
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Rivera: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
