For 41 years I have been the special education teacher at Half-Way Tree Secondary School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,110 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
