I taught English literature at Gateway Middle School in Tallahassee from 1979 to 1998. Most days I taught teenagers, and I learned every name in the first week.
I ran the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Mr. Rawat: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
