Mr. Rashidi
30 years teaching history in Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Dar es Salaam Girls' School
- 1997 to 2012
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 15 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Rashidi
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mr. Rashidi: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
