I teach design and technology at Birmingham Middle School in Birmingham since 1983. Most days I teach Year 9, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Ramirez: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
