For 30 years I was the physics teacher at Jakarta Selatan Grammar School. I taught Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, my door was open at lunch.

More about Mr. Purnomo

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Purnomo: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
