I taught mathematics and history at Ashford Boys' School, Johannesburg. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Pretorius
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
