Mr. Pillai
History teacher at Summit Academy, Since 1992
- 🇮🇳 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
- Summit Academy
- Since 1992
- English, Malayalam
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 34 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 990 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Pillai
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mr. Pillai: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
