I taught special education at Los Angeles Girls' School in Los Angeles from 1980 to 1997. Most days I taught primary school children, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
