I taught physical education at Cần Thơ Middle School in Cần Thơ from 2010 to 2021. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 500 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Phan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Phan: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
