I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I ran the debate team after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

What gifts mean to Mr. Pereira: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
