I taught geography at Oakwood Secondary School in El Paso from 1980 to 2009. Most days I taught teenagers, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
What gifts mean to Mr. Parker: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
