Mr. Paredes
History and chemistry teacher, Detroit
- 🇺🇸 Detroit, Michigan, United States
- Maple Ridge Secondary School
- 1984 to 2000
- English
I taught history at Maple Ridge Secondary School in Detroit from 1984 to 2000. Most days I taught Year 7, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Paredes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mr. Paredes: Any gift will help me keep tutoring for free.
