Mr. Ouma
Physics and environmental science teacher, Embakasi
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Since 2000
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 26 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Ouma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Ouma: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me physics in 2012 at Trinity Public School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
