Mr. Otieno
Spanish teacher at Mukono Middle School, Since 1997
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Mukono Middle School
- Since 1997
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 29 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Otieno
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mr. Otieno: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
