I taught special education at San Francisco High School in San Francisco from 1988 to 2001. Most days I taught teenagers, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Mr. Ortiz: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
