Mr. Ortiz
16 years teaching mathematics in León
- 🇲🇽 León, Guanajuato, Mexico
- León Secondary School
- 1995 to 2024
- Spanish
For 29 years I was the mathematics teacher at León Secondary School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I never once raised my voice.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Ortiz
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Ortiz: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
