Mr. Okonkwo
36 years teaching special education in Ibadan
- 🇳🇬 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria
- Ibadan Academy
- 1994 to 2005
- English, Yoruba
I taught special education at Ibadan Academy in Ibadan from 1994 to 2005. Most days I taught Year 9, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 420 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Okonkwo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Okonkwo: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
