Mr. Okello
French teacher at Parkside Public School, Since 1979
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- Parkside Public School
- Since 1979
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 47 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Mr. Okello
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Okello: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me French in 1980 at Parkside Public School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
