Mr. Nishimura
37 years teaching drama in Shinjuku
- 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
- Shinjuku Middle School
- Since 2003
- Japanese, English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 550 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mr. Nishimura: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
