Silverlake Secondary School was my second home. I taught chemistry there from 1984 to 2005, mostly the final-year class.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
