I taught physical education at Rio de Janeiro Middle School in Rio de Janeiro from 2008 to 2024. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mr. Nascimento
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Nascimento: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
