I teach early years at Sakura Public School in Giza since 1989. Most days I teach first-year students, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,040 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
