I taught accounting at Good Shepherd Grammar School in Dar es Salaam from 1996 to 2015. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm still learning every day.
