Mr. Mwende
28 years teaching Spanish in Kakamega
- 🇰🇪 Kakamega, Kakamega, Kenya
- Harmony Academy
- Since 2009
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a radio technician, and 17 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Mwende
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mwende: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
