Mr. Mwende

19 years teaching home economics in Kisumu

🇰🇪 Kisumu, Kisumu, Kenya
1986 to 1995
English

For nine years I was the home economics teacher at Kisumu Technical College. I taught Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Over the years I had 530 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Mr. Mwende

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
