I taught physics and English literature at Gateway Public School, Eldoret. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the homework club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Mwakyusa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
