Mr. Mrema
Early years teacher at Phoenix Middle School, Since 1994
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Since 1994
- English, Swahili
I teach early years at Phoenix Middle School in Embakasi since 1994. Most days I teach Grade 4, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I've had 1,340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Mrema
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mrema: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
