I taught chemistry at Cairo Secondary School in Cairo from 1982 to 2015. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
I ran the debate team after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I'm still learning every day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
