Mr. Mori

14 years teaching history in Shinjuku

  • 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
  • Shinjuku Girls' School
  • Since 1994
  • Japanese
I teach history and religious studies at Shinjuku Girls' School, Shinjuku. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. Over the years I've had 1,060 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Mr. Mori

Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mr. Mori: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

I was in your Year 10 class in 2003. You believed I could do it before I did! Truly.
