Mr. Miyamoto
26 years teaching physical education in Shinjuku
- 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
- Shinjuku Grammar School
- Since 1980
- English
For 46 years I have been the physical education teacher at Shinjuku Grammar School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Miyamoto
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Miyamoto: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
