I teach accounting and design and technology at Bakersfield Middle School, Bakersfield. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 990 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mr. Merritt: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
