Mr. Mercado
23 years teaching computer science in Caloocan
- 🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines
- St. Joseph's Secondary School
- 1998 to 2023
- English, Filipino
I taught computer science at St. Joseph's Secondary School in Caloocan from 1998 to 2023. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 930 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mercado: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I'm a social worker now and I honestly think it started in your classroom! Greetings from Wollongong.
