I teach English literature and physics at Miami Boys' School, Miami. I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,260 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Mendez
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mendez: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
