Mr. Mekonnen
25 years teaching economics in Jimma
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Jimma Grammar School
- Since 1994
- English, Amharic
Jimma Grammar School is my second home. I teach economics there since 1994, mostly Grade 8.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mr. Mekonnen
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mekonnen: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
