Mr. Mekonnen
24 years teaching art in Addis Ababa
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Our Lady of Peace Academy
- 2018 to 2025
- English, Amharic
Our Lady of Peace Academy was my second home. I taught art there from 2018 to 2025, mostly mixed-ability classes.
Over the years I had 280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mekonnen: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
