Mr. Mekonnen
English literature and home economics teacher, Adama
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Gateway High School
- Since 1982
- English, Spanish
For 44 years I have been the English literature teacher at Gateway High School. I teach Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

You taught me English literature in 2025 at Gateway High School. I still remember that terrible school play.
