Mr. Mekonnen
Physics teacher at Rosewood Secondary School, 1984 to 2001
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Rosewood Secondary School

I taught physics at Rosewood Secondary School in Jimma from 1984 to 2001. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I never once raised my voice.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I never once raised my voice.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Mekonnen
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Mekonnen: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me physics in 1991 at Rosewood Secondary School. I still remember the end-of-term party. Greetings from Fort Worth.

You taught me physics in 2007 at Rosewood Secondary School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
