Mr. Maruyama
Retired biology teacher from Osaka Girls' School
- 🇯🇵 Osaka, Osaka, Japan
- Osaka Girls' School
- 2010 to 2019
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and nine years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Maruyama
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Maruyama: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me biology in 2022 at Osaka Girls' School. I still remember the end-of-term party.
