I taught geography at Parkside Technical College in San Diego from 1989 to 2016. Most days I taught teenagers, and I learned every name in the first week.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.

What gifts mean to Mr. Maldonado: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
