I taught social studies and design and technology at Bakersfield Middle School, Bakersfield. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 1,030 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Maldonado
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Maldonado: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
